Has anyone anything to say on skiing in Banff / Lake Louise...good or bad and tips on accomadations ect.?

My family and i were going to go....so any eating suggestions or family friendly tips would be great....

For a skiing vacation, it is generally better to stay in Banff or Canmore.  Banff is the more well-known location, but Canmore has more affordable options.

There are loads of restaurants in both Banff/Canmore. If you want to take sandwiches to the hill, try Evelyn's Cafe or the Wildflower Cafe in Banff; Bella Crusta in Canmore.  FOr a nice dinner, our favourite restaurants are Castello (at the Banff Springs Hotel) or Giorgio's (downtown Banff).  In Canmore, our favourite fine dining restaurant is Treo.

If you are traveling with your family and are staying for more than 3 days, it is more affordable to rent a vacation rental.  It will have more room, a kitchen, and nicer amenities than a hotel (no 'front desk' though).  You can check out these sites to find a place to stay:
