  1. Yes, I just graduated from SFU.  It's an alright school, but honestly, I hated it.  It is an isolated school, with little to do except get drunk. The surrounding area is very boring, and the only place to go is the Loretto Pub and Grill, but the bartenders are awesome and they make great sandwiches.   The closet train is in Altoona, in case you're wondering how to get anywhere.  Since it is so small, everything you do is known by everyone, even people you don't know.  The Torvian dining hall was just renovated and it's actually a lot better than it was in the past, with more food and better options for meal plans.

There are some great professors, particularly in history and religion/philosophy.  I was a history major, so I have plenty of good things to say about those professors.  I may have hated being at the school (I live in a city, so I'm sure you could see the conflict), but you can definitely get a top rate education.  Most of the people who attend SFU major in either Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or as Physician Assistants, all of which are excellent programs, from what I understand; top rate in the country in fact.  Doctors I've spoken to know SFU very well, so if you are interested in a medical profession, that may be the way to go.

Most of the sports teams really suck, so if you want to go to a school with a winning football team or something, SFU isn't it.  The soccer team is top rate though, bunch of great guys.

Feel free to e-mail me with any other questions.
