I am trying to use Mediplayer 11 as a UPNP server, I have all the settings correct and the manual on my Philips WACS 7500 recommends MP11 as the software. No luck though. I also tried twonkyvision - it worked for 30 mins and then nothing. Also tried tversity but that didnt work at all.

  1. Tversity works great and it uses Mediaplayer 11 as its backend. So if you cant get either one to work it sounds like either a firewall issue or a router issue. Make sure your router is enabled for UPNP passthrough and for secondary measures to test set up a port pass through with Mediaplayer ports from source to destination. While *testing* turn off all your firewalls and virus scanners, *MAKE SURE* to turn them back on after testing. See what happens after you do this.

I uses Tversity for a media server and it works great!

  2. Check in services that the UPnP Device Host service is started and set the start up type to automatic
