Has anyone been adopted as a teenager?

Question

I was adopted from brazil at the age of 15 i live in te states now but it is so hard.... i am 18 now and i had very little time with my adopted parents soon i will be going to college and leaving them.. plus my adopted parents have been divorced for a year and a half.. and my mom remarried i love my step dad... but i am having problems with my adoptive dad... can anyone give me an opnion?

My best friend was adopted by her grandparents while she was in middle school.

My mother adopted two girls when they were in their teens.  They came from abusive families that were no longer allowed to see them and would otherwise be in group homes.  Though I am sure it was not the same as being with their biological family, they were very loved and loved our family.  It ended up being a good situation for both of us, and they still think of us as their real family.
