Has anyone been baited and switched by Billy Mayes on cable TV?

Question

I watched a commercial of his where he demonstrated an auger device with a battery operated drill motor. It was supposed to remove stumps.

It cost a fortune in shipping and when it came the drill was a cheap a/c (house power) 3/8 drive home drill with a very short cord (1 foot), not the battery drill they showed on TV.

Years ago they called this kind of selling "Bait and switch)"

No. I find him to be so irritating and obnoxious that I go out of my way to avoid any product he pitches.

If no one bought that c**p, they'd quit running the commercials.
