My mom battled cancer for 3.5 years. A month ago today, she passed away peacefully with family by her side. It was really amazing to see one last teardrop come out of her right eye. Has anyone ever experienced this, or know what the meaning of 'the last teardrop' is?

  3. It is a tear of joy knowing that loved ones were there to share love. I lost my father at 18 yrs old..he was a young 50. He knew his time and accepted it and told use it was time. After that he passed away with in 5 mins. - May God give you peace and strength, and remember the happy moments you shared, the knowledge you got and the time you shared. Blessings

  4. I was in the room when my mom passed away.  She was in a coma.  The tears came from my eyes.  It was very hard watching her take her last breath.

  5. Yes, I was the only one in the hospital room when my grandfather died in 1984.  I was only 16.  The hospital would not allow the family in.  My family asked me to sneak and check on him.  They thought that I was young and could get away with it.  His eyes rolled back in his head, and he died as I was talking to him.  My grandmother was outside the room, and the rest of my family was in the waiting room.

Strange that you ask that today.  I cried over him this morning for the first time in 23 years.

  6. My dear Grandmother died holding my hand. She didn't have cancer though.

    She was 93.

  7. Grandma said she heard music and she was talking to relatives that had passed away before her...she then said there was a beautiful angel then she closed her eyes in peace.

I held my cat when the doctor injected it with sleeping drug.  I was petting it like I had hundreds of times before, and in an instant I knew when she was gone...I cried so much.

God bless you and know your mom is in a peaceful place.
