  1. Wow I read your question and had no idea what you were talking about.

I was diagnosed with Raynauds Syndrom years and years ago... it really affects my fingers and toes.  I have poor circulation and have a hard time keeping them warm in the winter.

Anyways, I had a baby 2 years ago (long after I knew of this condition) and it never came up in conversation or anything.   I breastfed successfully (more than enough milk) for 5 months... and I ended it by choice not for any problematic reason.

I'm sorry to hear that this condition affects breastfeeding... I had no idea!  I guess I'm just writing to share that you can breastfeed even with this condition.  I wish you all the best and hope things improve for you!

Hope this helps, the first link has a lot of info. From what I read it sounds like you can still breastfeed, you just have to find ways to elimate the pain. It looks like this might tie in with your other question about breastfeeding being so painful and try to keep from giving up. I know this has got to be so hard, but at least you have an answer to why it is so painful, now it is just a matter of trying different things, now it makes sense and there are more options to help you get to the other end of this, where you can fully enjoy nursing. I can't imagine going though what you are, I think you are a great person to want to keep up with this for your son. Good luck, let me know if you need anymore links, I am pretty good at doing research. =) Stay strong.
