I've got a group interview at Aldi. It's for a store assistant not a Management post. Has anyone been for one or can tell me what to expect? All I've found online so far only refer to Graduate applications.

  1. I am not familiar with Aldi but do know something about "group interviews".  I have a friend, HR Director, for a large Atlanta company and this is his strategy he claims is extremely effective.  YOU have to remember when in the "competitive" world of job searching it is YOUR "resume" and/or "application" that establishes whether YOU are invited for an interview.  It is the INTERVIEW that "lands" the job.

YOU have been selected with others, because of YOUR initial info, to be interviewed.  Many times "group interviews" are a "tool" used when more than one position is available now or at a later date.  Potential employees are "given" a brief outlook of the company, operation procedures, expectations, training, requirements, such as, drug tests, background checks, etc.  Usually this initial "group interview" alone "weeds out" or not to the liking of some, therefore, the "field" is narrowed.  It also gives the company that FIRST IMPRESSION of who you are and how you conduct yourself, how you dress/neatness, etc.

    Good Luck, stay positive.
