Has anyone been in the Peace Corps? How was your Experience?

Looking back would you do it again? Would you recommend it to a friend? Are there any financial incentives? Looking for details not a short answer, thanks.

I have, 1971-1972. My daughter is a PCV now.

My experience was good, for the most part. The leeches were not fun, but I have scars I can brag about that some people don't.

I would do it again. There are NO financial incentives; there are many non-financial incentives. I would recommend it to some friends, not others.
