  1. OH my gosh.  My cruise was the best vacation my husband and I had ever been on in our entire lives.  It is more than worth the money.

Neither of us drink a lot of alcoholic beverages and we had a wonderful time.   We went with Carnival Cruise lines on the Glory ship.   It was only 575 per person.  I loved it so much that I have talked my whole family into going this year for Christmas.

Go to Carnival.com and have a personal vacation planner contact you.  THey will help you with all the details.  The sooner you book the better deals you can get.

You really should go.  Cruises are great.  I am now addicted.

  2. yes great

    not for the poor though

  3. I went on my first cruise in 05 and loved it. July of 07 will be cruise number two, with more to come. Cruise cost is what you make it. There are expensive cruise lines and reasonably priced cruises lines. Do some investigation and fine one you like.Use a travel agent or the cruise lines web site.

Keep life simple live to cruise!

  4. Cruises are a lot of fun. They enable you to see a lot of places in a limited amount of time at a much cheaper cost than flying to each place individually.

I would recommend taking one of the huge ships with lots of activities. We took a Royal Caribbean Voyager class ship. They had mini golf, rock climbing wall, inline skating, volleyball, etc. for the sea days when you might get board just lying in the sun. I am a big fan of active vacations so I get bored just sitting there. Sea days do allow you to catch up on reading.

I could give or take the evening shows and the casino, but all in all, you would not be able to see all the places that a cruise takes you at such an economical cost.  (you can realistically do a caribbean cruise from the US from $1000  -$1500/person including airfare.) To even fly to an island, it can cost $600/plane ticket.

  5. Going on #12 this August.  Absolutely the best way to go on vacation.  You have a great hotel that goes to beautiful places.  More to do than you can ever find time to do.  All the food you can eat -- no cost.  A casino on board.  Pools, spas, night clubs, a health club, man I can't imagine a bad cruise.

  6. If you are into drinking alcoholic beverages, eating 24/7 at buffets, gambling with slot machines and dancing at cheesy clubs, then you would love it.

I wouldn't go on another cruise even if someone paid me.

  7. yes i have cruised my car , bike, etc. lol    yes i have and  basically your privileges are restricted on the ship and must pay extras for entertainment (Food, drinks, etc)...... for the same price just fly out of the country

  8. it waz da best it waz tottaly worth it but i didnt pay 4 it my mom did i went on a carnival cruise to cayman island and jamacia i swam wit stingrays and felt a dolphin

  9. I love cruising and go on at least one a year.  It's a great way to take a vacation where almost everything is included in the price.  You can do as much or as little as you want.  You can book a tour with the cruiseline, do one yourself, get off the ship and just walk around or stay on the ship and enjoy the shipboard activities and not spend an extra penny if you are on a very tight budget.  Go to the Las Vegas style entertainment in the evenings--usually wonderful shows.

Regarding the price and is it worth it.  Do not book with the cruiseline.  Shop online.  Do a search under "discount cruises" and shop, shop, shop.  Pick an online agency where you can book on line, call them and email them.  Never pick one that does not have a toll free number.  You can find agencies who will give you shipboard credit and other perks.  To me, cruising allows me to visit places I never would be able to visit.  Shop, shop, shop (can't repeat this enough) and have a wonderful time!

  10. Very nice but costly....I liked stopping at all the ports and this island called "Half Moon Cay".

They could have just left me on the island, it was that gorgous. I'd take another if I had the chance.

  11. Cruises are great. Don't know where everyone went that cost so much. Much is included in the price and there are always deals on cruises. I have been on 19 cruises and going on 3 more this year. Nothing better. Figure out where you want to go and look into all of the choices you have. Norwegian and Princess have a more relaxed dress code.

As far as accidents yes like any means of travel they happen but, every single day someone dies in a car accident yet we get up everyday and get in our cars and drive.

Many great places to see out there just depends where and when you want to go.

  12. compliments of the US Navy.....aircraft carrier...arctic circle ..35 ft swells...45 ft waves !

  13. Every cruise that we have taken with our family has been worth it - you do not have to make it expensive - like everything else, you can cruise on a budget.

  14. They are just amasing if u like being papered and the good thing is - it feels like they really do care about you they are fun just make sure you don't end up ill like i did , you feel terrible and if you do go make sure you get a window with a balcony because it's nice to be able to get fresh air any time you like. It is a totally different expeience and you will never forget it  -I loved it and i'm going on another one this year!

  15. I haven't been on a cruise but I hope I will...NOT! Accidents happen, if I ride on a cruise I might end up in Davy Jone's Locker.

  16. My wife and I have done over 25 cruises and think its the best way to see the world.   That being said there are a lot of cruise lines, ships and cruise area.  You cant generalize.  Ships and cruise lines vary.  So get many views on different lines.  We have found that Celebrity is the best value for the money, but if we can spend a little more we like Oceana.  We had horrible experiences on both Carnival and Cunard (QE2).

In general cruising is the most economical way to see the world.  Most of the world's great cities are on the water.  If you dont mind seeing those cities at a brisk pace you can see a lot for a little.
