  1. Yes.  We loved our first cruise on the Century so much, we took the exact same cruise the next year, and loved it again.  [This was before she was refurbished - she doesn't have the T-pool anymore....]

Celebrity is a step above the other mass-market cruise lines in terms of service, food and ambience.   Very elegant decor [not Vegas on steroids like Carnival].  The activity level is somewhat lower - no "party-til-you-puke" atmosphere here.

  2. Great question!  I actually just came back from a 2 week Celebrity Cruise onboard Galaxy.  I LOVED it, of course, because I was on a cruise....... but.... the reasons I WONT sail with Celebrity again is because of celebritys passenger base/crowd.  Like 85% of the guests were over 65.  Out of the 1200 peeps onboard, only like 15 of us were under 30. It was like being in a nursing home!  And the party scene was kinda lame.  If it wasn't for the group of friends I made, I would been screwed.  They never kept any bars open later than 2am because there would only be us (the under 30 crew) and like 6 or 7 random other people.

But this may all have been because of the length of my cruise, too, I mean it WAS two weeks, but I did hear that older people do like to cruise Celebrity because it's not much of a party ship.  But other than that, everything was great!  The room was pretty big, staff was outstanding, as usual, and always plenty to do.. they have a great spa, too!  I recommend ANY cruise, of course, just because the whole cruising experience is my fav thing to do ever, BUT the next cruise I book WILL be Royal CAribbean or Carnival, and I'd like to try DIsney someday. But I am royally devoted to Royal Caribbean.  Sailed with them three times and they ARE the best.

  3. I have cruised on Celebrity, on the Constellation, and I loved it.  It was the best cruise we ever did.  They did special things to give better service, like meet us at the gangway when we boarded with a glass of champaign.  And all of the service staff were a cut above what we have experienced on any other cruise line.  The ship was fabulous too and we enjoyed it and the food.

We have another Celebrity cruise booked right now for next January on a sister ship to the Constellation, the Millenium.  I know it will be great.
