  1. Yes,a robbery charge. We found him not guilty, even though I am sure he was guilty as h**l....remember "beyond a reasonable doubt". we felt the police didn't do there job... They told us going in, This is Not CSI.    LOL

  2. no, if you don't want to be on one, just answer a question in a way that will discourage the defence

or slip in a comment about Rush

  3. got a murder trial the one time I actually got selected; the experience was interesting even though we ended up with a hung jury.

  4. I have been on several.

  5. I have been on a few juries and coroner's inquests. The standard jury cases were over minor felonies. Th coroner's inquests were interesting as they involved the possible suicides of students at our local University. I say "interesting" as they were more like Darwin Award winners than intentional suicides and the law around here makes no distinction between accidental and intentional suicides. Our options were accident, murder, suicide, or other wrongful death. Since, legally, suicide has a distinct meaning different than accident (read 'intent'), we had to go with accident even though we all knew that the actions of the deceased would have lead to nothing less than their death.

    What would you call that?

  6. Yes. It was one of those "slip and fall in a store, but no one witnessed it" sort of cases.
