  1. It is highly unlikely that they would let you in with a one way ticket.Thye would suspect that you want to stay here.

  2. Yes, you still need the 5,000 AUD to get an Australian working holiday visa to support your trip and be able to purchase a return ticket. Aside from that, you also need to be at least 18 to apply for the visa and have no dependent children. You can check out the requirements here http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/working/...

For the application cost, this online service offers 190 AUD for the visa application charge : http://www.nationalvisas.com.au/working/...

  3. You wont be able to enter Australia with a single ticket. They'll send you back where you came from before you even leave the airport.

Australia has one of the toughest immigration/customs departments in the world - equal or worse than the US, if you get the wrong person in a crabby mood.

  4. no need to be so rude to the person that answered you,he/she makes a valid point. Customs CAN refuse you entry with a one way ticket, some airlines will not even let you board on a one way ticket if you are not a resident of the country you are flying to,and i know this for a fact because it happened to me  so before you call people a stupid d**k get your facts right!!

and if the visa application says you need 5000 then that's what you need, you must follow the rules of Australia or don't bother applying, with an attitude like yours you wont be welcomed by Australians
