We are cruising on the Independence of the Seas this summer, we have never cruised before so can anyone answer a few questions about the cabins?

1. As our interior cabin will obviously be quite small is it comfortable enough for 2 weeks on board?

2. Is there much storage available to unpack into or is it a situation of living out of our suitcases?

3. If we can unpack ok, is there anywhere to store the empty suitcases, i.e. under the bed, etc.?

4. Do the TV's in the room have connections to plug a portable DVD or games console?

  1. You can find answers to these questions from experienced cruisers at CruiseCritic.com.  Click on "Boards", then "Royal Caribbean" or any of the other topics that interest you.  I'd suggest "First Time Cruisers", for one.

If you don't find the info you need, you can post a question and someone will surely give you an answer.  You'll need to join CC to post a question, but it's free.

  2. I have never been on the Independence of the Seas but your questions apply to most every cruise ship. But the one you pick will be great!! The ship is the largest in the world and has sooo many activities and is beyond amazing. We saw it in person and have read many articles about it! Okay here we go!

1). We went on RC's smallest ship for 2 weeks and were absolutly fine. There are a lot of drawers and closets so the space is fine

2). There is drawers and closets

3). Yes suitcases can go under the bed you can fit 2 or 3 per bed if they are small

4). I'm not completley sure but I think so on question 4!

Oh and Royal Caribbean has a great site. They have lots of info. on their site and its very helpful and interactive! have fun!!
