  1. Voyager is a great ship!  She's the first of Royal Caribbean's fleet of extra-large ships (the "Voyager" class, now joined by the even larger "Freedom" class ships) and has lots of great facilities smaller ships can't match:

    - an ice skating rink

    - inline skating

    - rock-climbing wall (all RCI ships have this now)

    - large mid-ship shopping arcade

    - Portofino's Italian restaurant (I think $30 extra per person, but worth it)

    - Johnny Rocket's 50s style diner (a small extra charge, but the milkshakes are great)

The cabins are good and come equipped with a hairdryer, shampoo, soap ... and obviously an ensuite bathroom.

If this is your first cruise, you might want to read this "Introduction to Cruising" which covers topics like a typical day onboard, how to avoid getting sea sick, etc.:

Also, you might like the "Know Before you Go" guide, which has a packing checklist, how to stay healthy onboard, etc.:

If after your cruise you'd be willing to share stories and pictures from your cruise, you can get a free online Cruise Journal here:

I'm sure a lot of people would love to hear about your trip!

  2. yes i have been on it, lovely ship, cant fault it, put half stone on in a week, food fab, even free snacks like smocked salmon, pizza & nachos and ice creams round the pool. 24/7 free tea coffee pizza sandwiches. Fab resteraunts & bars. We had balcony suite it was lovely. Theres a mini golf, rock climing, fab pools, gym the list is endless. (But, they do keep remining you of how to leave your tips b4 you leave, even on the ship tv, they keep telling you, which is a bit too much. This was the only fault. )

  3. YES! One of the biggest ships right? ice skating rink (at certain times) climbing wall, bball court, hot tubs everywhere, kids pool, prominad area with bars and resuaurants. Its a must do and im a 26/m and ive been on it twice. If it is the big ship, which i think it is, do it! I reccommend a 7 day cruise because a 5 just felt to short, and hit as many islands as possible at least 4-5. Cruises are awesome, there is something for everyone, and if you like jazz, rap, piano player, rock, etc. there is a bar to hang at for everyone at night and always stuff to do, events, shows, tourdaments, shows you can participate in, food everywhere at all times of the night including a 24x7 sandwhich desert place, and the list goes on. Do an excursion or two during your trip, i prefer sitting and eating the early dinner, balconys off roomsm are "ok" but your on a cruise boat so its no biggie to me, midnight buffets are awesome, wine tastings, and things similar to that are offered...list goes on.

  4. We just got home this week from a trip aboart Voyager of the Seas out of Galveston!  Excellent ship with excellent staff.  The ice skating rink is awesome -- there are world class shows for you there, and, you'll also get to try your hand at it on Open Skate days.  The rolllerblading course is nice, just be careful on windy days!  There is also a 9-hole miniature golf course we found to be fun, and, of course, a rock-climbing wall!  One of the best-kept secrets is the movie theatre down on Deck 2, which is open for multiple showings each day.  Don't forget to visit the Johnny Rockets Grill at least one day of your voyage.  It'll cost you about $3, but the Rocket Double cheeseburger is not to be missed.  The main dining room has got to be the most beautiful one I've seen on any cruise ship.  In short, you're going to have a great time aboard a great ship.  I would be glad to answer any other questions you have.  Enjoy your cruise!

  5. My parents were last week. They absolutely loved it. They had been on the Rapsody of the Seas twice and said this ship was kick butt!!! Google a few images and feast your eyes!!! The Grand Atrium looks like the mall!!!

  6. omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgo...

i went on it spring break 2007....BEST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!

THE FOOD IS AMAZING, THE ACCOMADATIONS STUNNING....... and there is just so much to do!

    im jealous

  7. Not been on that one but the Explorer is a great ship and RC was amazing. Have cruised with Princess Cruises 8 times and RC was loads better, The staff are fantastic, the ship was great. Only downside was the shows were very American , different humour, but seeing as its an American company this was to be expected.

You have shot yourself in the foot though, because you will never want another type of holiday once you have been on a cruise. Oh I am green with envy. Enjoy.
