Has anyone been on the Savannahlander train from Cairns, Australia?

have done the route Cairns - Sydney,don`t know if it was named .Found the crew were a bit bossy with the passengers.Much more relaxed on the Sydney - Perth ,you can hang up your washing to dry,sleep on the floor and get reduced price food from the buffet if there`s surplus when they close up , though this was 8yrs ago .The trip up to Kuranda is worth a try , great scenic run.
