Has anyone been snorkelling with whale sharks in cancun?

I'd really like to do this when we go to Cancun in 1 weeks time. Ive heard you can do it up to the end of September but it is pricey.

Anyone swam with whale sharks by Mexico before? Is it scary? Did you pay alot for the trip? Where did you get your trip from? Recommend it?

I have done it many times. I lived on Isla Holbox before it was a tourist destination and before anyone charged a fee for it.

It is an amazing experience and should not be missed.The whale sharks are very gentle creatures. I have no idea what a tour from Cancun costs (I avoid that area of Mexico like the plague) but I have included a link from Isla Holbox which is where the whales are and where the boat from Cancun will bring you .
