Has anyone been to Arlington Park racetrack?

I'm just curious. This is the track that I frequent the most.

What are your opinions of it (if you've been there)?

I've been going there since I was 5 years old, so I love it, but I also like other people's opinions and their recommendations of other cool racetracks.

Any suggestions?

  1. My girl friend trains there ,, It's a very nice track since they redid it

If you really want to see the oldest track in U,S go to SARATOGA its great and very big ,,, Hot springs fun fun fun

Then another is Del Mar by the ocean its a small one but lots of good restaurants

Mine is SANTA ANITA  THE MOUNTAINS IN THE BACK GROUND  ARE SO NICE

    I loved working there

But take a trip to SARATOGA during Travers week

    it does cost allot,,

    have fun

  2. It'a a very nice track. I like it 3rd behind Hollywood Park and Santa Anita.

  3. yes...1960-thru 1980...great racing, trainers, jocks, earlie fires! big brown is my suggestion for your question! he is the real deal!

  4. My sister goes to Arlington and she loves it. I have been to Saratoga,Keeneland and Churchill Downs. They were all pretty good.

  5. Yes, I've been to Arlington but haven't been there since I was a teenager.  It was the first time I ever saw a horse go down on the track so I have bad memories of it.

The best track I've been to is Churchill Downs.  You must go there even if it isn't for the Derby.

The only other tracks I've been to are Hawthorne, Prairie Meadows in Iowa and a harness only track near the Mississippi in Illinois (can't remember the name of the town). Prairie Meadows is cool - they have Thoroughbred, harness and Quarter Horse racing and a casino.
