  1. Beautiful country and lovely, friendly people. Miles and miles of coastline and perfect sun and sand. The Amazon is an experience in itself. You will love all aspects of Brazil.

  2. I´m Brazilian and I can say it´s a beautiful country to visit. To live it´s a kind of hard because the government doesn´t do anything for its people. But if want to come down to Brazil there are many, many places to go. When talking about Brazil the foreign people always think: Rio de Janeiro. It´s wonderful, but skip it. There are many other amazing cities and places to visit. The northeast is just wonderful! I´ve been there so many times and there´s always somewhere else to go. The better time to visit is out of season. Friendly and nice people will take care of you. Have fun!

  3. #1 country with AIDS problems, but fun

  4. The people are warm and friendly. A little bit of travel Portuguese goes a long way. I had no problem getting around in the cities. I heard that, unlike the US, it's actually more dangerous outside the cities because you become alone. I did go into the mountains with a group of people and it was nice. You must try the BBQ.

  5. Get your facts straight...   Brazil is not #1 with aids.. NOT Even Close..  The US, China and Russia Fall before Brazil.     then theres many countries in Africa

  6. I was born in Brazil. Beautiful country, people very friendly that u might feel uncomfortable. North Americans are not like that. Some places are violent, but u wont walk careless in NY or LA either. Food is awesome. And the AIDS info is wrong. Africa is number one, NA is before Brazil in the list. But hey, u can get any sexual disease anywhere if u don't take care. If you go, make sure u don't dress in flowers tshirts, big hats like a g ringo. Go natural, jeans, shorts, regular Tshirts. That way u wont be seen as a g ringo and u can be safe. In Rio, the bad guys look at g ringos by their clothes.

  7. Never been to BRAZIL but they speak Portuguese.

  8. I'm going to Brasil in 3 days. You'll notice a great dfirence culture wise, people (no offence!!) are not as cold as in the US,as a personal experence people are very hospital and treat you as one of there family almost if you are kind to them. Religion is a big part of there culture and they will feel insulted if you make remarks about God, Jesus ect.

It's a wonderfull country and as soon as a can I will try to earn a living there... it my paradise!

  9. Well, Dani, I´m a Brazilian citizen. I´m from São Paulo.

The people are very pretty but the politicians, manly our president is so disgusting !

All over South America, we´re in big trouble with violence and stupid people. Maybe is the poverty. Lucky  you, how I envy you.

  10. Brazil is a beautiful country with a warm climate and the lovliest atmosphere.  The people are so friendly and try their hardest to speak English (most people can't there.)  It is true that it is very dangerous.  I wasnt in Rio for ten minutes before a teenager jumped onto my dad's back and put his hands in his pockets.  My dad twisted his wrists so he didnt get anything, but within minutes the police were after him.  The police respond so quickly there it is unbelievale.  My dad screamed help and there were police men speeding down the street to get him.  I hope this doesnt scare you, i guess it was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.  You just have to be smart.  Do not approah sketchy people, stay on main streets, and i say never repeat never go out on the streets after 10:00 pm without a guide or if u are in a taxi because it gets very dangerous, and thats when the scary ppl come out. also do not go on the beaches at night because thats where along of gangs meet up.

  11. There are not that many people with AIDS there! Of course there are people with diseases but it's not as bad as the U.S. It has it's good and bad parts like any where else. You will love it there,I'm sure of it. Learn some Portuguese before going! Most women are nice.
