  1. It has been a long time since I have been.  It use to be a casual dining experience, not the case anymore.  Back in the 70's you got hamburgers or shrimp in a basket.  Went there about a year ago, I was way under-dressed, so we quietly departed.  Gaido's in Galveston and also Shrimp N More(casual) are both good.  The latter is also in Galveston.

  2. Go to Todai...

It's the best japanese seafood buffet. It has 40 different kinds of sushi and all kinds of fish. They also have a greek salad bar and they have that thing where you have a card on the table....one side is green and one side is red. There's guys that come around with meat...if you want meat turn your card on the green side...if no turn card to the red side. They have chicken hearts(which are very good by the way), quail(or however you spell that bird), lamb chops, and a lot of other delicious tender meats.

The price is only $25 - $30 per person and it's totally worth going.

Also, you can dress casual...most people don't dress in fancy attire when going there but they don't dress sloppy either.

Kids are welcome and their meals are, of course, cheaper. Also, if you're under 5 ft, it'll cost you less.

Oh and the dessert is amazing. They have a variety of tea cakes, they have a chocolate fondue fountain, they can make you crepes, they have cookies, they even have creme bru le. They also have red been ice cream which you must try because it's very refreshing and delicious.

    Hope you go!

  3. I have not been to Christie's in like 15 years.  I did not realize they were still open.  I remember it having mostly fried seafood choices.  These days I prefer Goode Seafood Co.
