I want to go back there. I loved everything about it. The people,. the food, the weather, the beaches, he fact you can just go out for a walk on your own (i thought it wasent something i could do) I also love the night market which is a top night weather you shopping watching football or watching the show. Also has anyone been to paradice beach in Maharastra just out of Goa if not hire a moped and head north for about 1 hour its great you will love it but make sure you get the last ferry back to goa even though you only cross the river lol Also what part of goa do you like best? i love vagator where its quiet cheap and you can meet locals. I went when i was 16 and all i did was play cricket with all the indians fished with them went out in the sea went on mad walks and went around on a moped meeting new people each time i stopped at a bar.

  1. Shame you missed Arunbel while you were up there but I agree with you its a brilliant place with great people.

  2. Man, That place is magic. I have been everywhere and that is the best. Everything is good.

  3. top place. i went in 98.

  4. We lived there in 04-05, first in Anjuna Beach and then in Povorium.  It's beautiful, relaxing and wonderful, with the greatest people in the world.  Only came back to renew our visas, and as soon as my daughter gets into college (in about 2.5yrs), I plan to go back for the rest of my life.  As it is, we go back there every time my daughter has at least 2 weeks holiday from school.  Each season has a mystic of it's own.

  5. no have never been there but i do know that it is on the west coast and during the 18th century was a portugues colony.presumably there is still a strong portugues influence there.did you find that to be true?ROY THE THICKO

  6. I went there about 11 years ago and would love to go again. I stayed in a hotel which was really cheap at the time because it was the monsoon season but when it rained, it was warm. The sunsets were like they were in a holiday brochure, it was quiet and the people were really nice and the food was fantastic. Iv'e never had such a relaxed holiday.

  7. Goa is much more than just beaches and coastline and you have to go inland to really explore it's full beauty.

It has a lot to offer besides the coastline and I'm talking about waterfalls, churches, temples, forts, lakes, etc.

  8. We have been twice, the first time in 2006 we stayed in Kamat  which was in Calangute, but nearer to Candolim. We fell in love with the place, the scenery, the people, and the cheapness of every thing. My friend will not go to the same place again because she says there is too much to see and do, but she made an exception and we went back last year we went to Sodders Beach Classic and if we had taken what we had read on holidays uncovered seriously we would not have gone.WE have done the waterfall,we went to Cola beach, and there was just 4of us on a secluded beach. we have also done the boat trip and the jungle retreat. it was amazing. I love Goa

  9. i think you all have rose tinted spectacles on, of course Goa is a shock to the senses with the smells of the spices and incense, the sights are magical. till you have lived there. then you smell the urine in mapusa or panji, were everyone pisses, ok, mapusa is not that bad this year, the p**s drain has gone, one big urinal for the guys who got of the bus. as for the litter?. do none of you see it?. just go behind the beach shacks, tons of the stuff. if it was,nt for those ladies who collect the rubbish to resell, so they can make a living without begging, then Goa would be one big waste tip. don't get me wrong. I love Goa, I have only been back home 10 days back. my 11th time there, got no  illusions about the place. was still ripped off, lol, people are nice? hey they have to make a living, everyone wants something, otherwise what is the profit for them. and that my friends was from the mouth of a very nice goan lady,,, who i thought was nice, and she was.but charged me way over the odds for my room, and still had the cheek to write me and ask me to send over things for her. its another culture, just don't be fooled by the friendliness. by the way. for all single woman, wanting to travel by them selves and not feel intimidated by men, Goa is the place to go to, your safe, this is what i like about Goa.  happy holidays

  10. I've been about six times- I love it!
