  1. hi been to zante four times, stayed in a beautiful place called tsillivi, it used to be so cheap, but since the euro has came in prices have shot up everywhere, to be fair the euro has put prices up everywhere. The food is gorgeous there and the people are very friendly, its very family orientated. Try this website for zante reviews:

    hope this helps x*x

  2. Yes I've been to Zakynthos (Zante) many times, each time I have been to Tsilivi and last time I went (Jul 07) I stayed at the Strofades Beach Hotel - it was lovely. Basic but literally 1 min walk from the beach.

The food isn't overly expensive. A bit cheaper than over here. For alcohol you can look to spend about 3 euro for a pint. Imported spirits etc tend to cost a few euros.

A group of 4 of us went and roughly our evening meal came to around 80 euro, including drinks. It varies though depending on where you go/how much you order/how much you drink

  3. I spent one summer on Zakynthos in 2003, and have lived on Corfu for the past 4 years. You will generally find food and drink a fraction cheaper than in the UK, unless you go clubbing in Laganas, then the alcohol is about the same as in the UK.

You can find some cheap places, and some expensive places, most bars and restaurants will have signs outside displaying their offers - main course & dessert for 8.50euro / free shot with every drink etc.

Ask your rep / accommodation staff for ideas of where to go when you get there.

  4. I agree with Vasiliki, although cocktails can often be cheaper and if you are not very particular with the food you can get by reasonably. In Laganas you may find the best offers.

    Have fun!

  5. depends where you go as to how cheap beer and food is. the more competition the cheaper it is. the price of a meal and beer ive always found is about the same as here , the exception being if you want british beer or spirits if you drink the local its cheaper. as for a meal unless you go for something exotic the prices arent bad.

  6. summer season or winter season?

in touristic places the drink is 3 euros, beer 2.5 and a coctail from 5-7 euros.

an average price for food can be from 7-10 euros

you can find more expensive ,deends of the area, and the bar/restaurant.

    this is the average there.
