Has anyone been to Japan for the People to People Student Ambassador Program?

I'm trying to figure out if it really is neccassary to wear a fannypack because all the ones i've seen or ugly and bulky. What do you think? And if you think I shouldn't, should I just wear a purse instead and if I should, do you know wear i can find a flat one f***y/waist pack?

i didn't bring a fannypack. i dont think anybody in my group did either. you'll be fine with just a purse or whatever. just take something  you will be comfortable carrying around 24/7
