Has anyone been to Manzanillo, Mexico?

Question

I'm going to Manzanillo, Mexico on Saturday for spring break. I'm 15 years old, so what would be of interest there? Is it a good place to visit?

Went there once several years ago and there wasn't much of anything to do. Maybe the place got bigger over this long period of time (must have been almost 10 years). I hope you got a hotel reservation in Camino Real cuse it's a really awesome looking hotel. You kinda feel like you're Luke Skywalker living in your uncle's place in Tatooine but next to the ocean and you're not in a desert but the hotel's architecture kinda gives you that feel. You'll have to see it for yourself.

Oh, I do remember seeing the most hideous place that is apparently a hotel in that city I've ever seen in my lifettime. Hahaha, it had no roof and there were people taking bucket of cold water showers on the "roof" with no curtain at all. Oh man was that place hilarious to look at because it was so sad and ugly looking. I wonder if the place is still there. just ask for the Hotel "Hotel" and see for yourself and have a laugh.

Hopefully it won't happen to you, but I got the worst stomach infection from eating Lasagna at a nice restaurant in that city, I'll never forget the experience. I was sick like a dog for a whole week because of it.

I live just north of Manzanillo and the weather is warming up a bit .... but the ocean may be too chilly for you.  Also be prepared for Semana Santa (Easter vacation in Mexico) as the beaches will be very crowded from the 15th thru the 30th.  Lots of good food and your hotel should have a pool if the ocean is too cold.

Been there and it was great- my kids loved it.  You can sit on the beach and everybody walks by selling food, clothes, anything you want- you can surf and play all day, and there is all kinds of other things to do too.  You lucky dog!!

Been there had a blast.  If you enjoy fishing you must go Marlin fishing (its the capital of the world).  The beaches and people are nice.
