Has anyone been to Pahrump, NV? What is it like? Is it a nice place to live?

It is a wide spot in the road with a gas station, trinket store, and bordello.

It is dry, hot, dusty, and windy.

Pahrump is the answer to the problems created by the congested streets of Las Vegas.  I like Pahrump and I am considering a move to there.  The real estate market is much better and they are growing enough to have something to offer.  Some people commute to work in Vegas from there...so it's almost like a suburb of Las Vegas...far enough away to avoid the problems of the city; but close enough to get to Vegas when desired.  It has changed a lot in the last few years...to the good.
