  1. Was there 3 years ago. Very nice place, quiet and there are some very nice restaurants. Alcudia is a short taxi ride away which is more commercialised.

  2. PP is a lovely resort which is popular with British tourists. It tends to attract mainly families and older couples rather than the younger set. There is a nice small beach at PP and I also like the old town of Pollensa which is nearby. It is close to many areas of outstanding natural  beauty.

If you are looking for a lively resort with lots of bars, clubs and nightlife, then PP is not for you. You may prefer Alcudia which is not to far away on the same side of the island, or somewhere like Palma Nova or Magaluf on the other side of the island. As previously stated, Mallorca has a resort to suit all tastes - you just need to find the right one.

  3. I spent six years working for a travel company which specialised in Majorca holidays.

I had to go over there several times (What a shame) to inspect the hotels.

Puerto Pollensa is one of the most northerly of the resorts in Majorca, it's closest neighbour is the Port of Alcudia.

Although all of Majorca is busy during the school summer holidays, the north is a little quieter.

The beauty of this island is that it caters for all tastes and age-groups, I would recomend the north for a slightly more peaceful holiday, and the resorts of Palma Nova and Magaluf in the south for some serious nightlife.

I also include a map of Majorca so you can get your bearings.

  4. Small and quiet but OK for older people or families looking only for beach holiday although beach is small - alcudia along the bay, behind the rocks and hills is much better.
