  1. Go to the bus tour office in Marbella and take a day trip (bus tour) for about $70.00.  The bus will pick you up early in the morning right at your hotel or condo complex, take you to Tarifa and board you on a 45 minute ferry (Pontoon boat that carries cars and has 3 levels--very nice).  Once you arrive in Tangers, Morroco, a local will meet the bus and take you as a group through customs (they do thousands of these every month and it's common place with no hassle for you).  Then you board another bus and take a tour to the market, the casbah, a traditional lunch restaurant, past camel rides and to see a snake charmer.  It is all included and they take care of everything a tourist wants to see on such a day trip.  After that, you go back on the bus to the port in Tangiers and take the same boat back to Tarifa.  They re-enter you as a group back into Spain and take you by bus back to your place of origin-same place they pick you up.  You return about 8 PM or so and it's very nice and worth it.  The local guide will keep you with the group and protect you from the bad people, but the vendors will try to sell you their bracelets, hats and other junk all the time.  Some you may want, but you can just say no and they move on.  It's how they make money and you can negotiate the price all you want for like a brass camel or jewelry.  In the market they give you time to shop also.  The only thing is they may take you to an oriental rug shop to try to push buying a rug--I think the rug dealers subsidize the tours to get the group there for half an hour, but it is interesting and you have no obligation to buy anything.  It is just in the program and maybe a drug store too.

We went and it was very nice and fun, just a long day.  Enjoy it.  Our tour was nice and easy to do.

  2. I havent been from Marbella, but have been from Tarifa, they have a fast boat that goes there.  I strongly reccommend a tour guide when you are over there, as the locals really really do hassle you, tell the guide what you want to see and do, or they can take you to their brothers cafe and their sisters shop, and their cousins daughters house etc etc, do your research before going, but it really is a beautiful place, plus Tarifa is a great place to stay before or after your trip.....

    Enjoy.
