  1. nice--warm---

  2. We went in May a couple of years ago...it was incredible!

We were traveling by train thru Italy and when we walked

out of the train station  we felt like we were stepping into

a movie scene.  The canal and gondolas,  it was better

than any photo we had seen.  We stayed at a small

place just off St. Mark's Square,  the Hotel Noemi, and for

Venice the price wasn't too bad, $125 a night for a room with

bath.  Its a small place but clean and well situated.

We spent 5 days there, took the vaporettos everywhere

and of course, went out to see the glass-makers.  We

walked everywhere and found a few great places to eat.

Also did the museums.  I would love to go back, we loved

Italy and had a wonderful time just about everywhere we

    went.

  3. I used to live 30 minutes away from there, the people are very nice. You will have to constantly walk around, and I only found one McDonald's for all you Americans. I actually found a lot of people there who spoke Spanish. If you wish to ride a gondola, beware, incredibly expensive, 80 euros per person! If you travel a long way, you take a boat, like a "bus." The water is not what you call super clean, but if it is sunny, that will create the illusion that it is clear. The "bus" will be very crowded. Take pictures while on boats through windows, the view of great land points and architecture will be astonishing. During winter and autumn times, it will be very foggy, rainy, and flood. Go during the spring times, around late April to early May, not as many people, summer is crowded. Have fun and be a smart buyer, what some souveniers appear in one place can be found cheaper in another. If you just come by car, make sure to park your car safely.

  4. Venice was beautiful, one of my favorites in Italy. It's not too big, but small enough for you to tour around in a day or less. You'll get people who will try to sell you bird seeds for a huge amount of money, and sometimes they just shove the seeds in your hand and you have no choice as all the birds fly to you. You just have to say no. But otherwise, when the canal is more beautiful than you see in movies (like Italian Job!). The history there is phenomenal. Have you been? Because if you haven't, you should! It's a definitely must when you are visiting Italy. It really is as romantic as they say. Beautiful beautiful beautiful!

  7. I barely got to see Venice because that is where i met my future husband so naturally i spent most of the time staring at him.

  8. Venice was absolutely beautiful, when i was there, i felt like I was in the middle of a photograph, words and explaining it don't even do it justice, you have to experience it for yourself.
