  1. I was at a wedding that only served filet mignon as the entree.

Because seafood/shellfish allergies are very common I don't think shrimp is your best choice for what to serve with the filet.  But if you know your guests don't have that issue, I think its great.

Most people play it safe and offer chicken, but I happen to love beef so I'd be thrilled with filet mignon!

  2. As someone rightfully pointed out , vegetarians and  people with shellfish allergies are  getting increasingly common. IF  those were the only options I was given  for a wedding I was attending and I wasn't able to eat  what was  provided for health reasons  I would  drop a polite note to the bride explaining my difficulty. Any caterer with any brains and experience will ALWAYS have a vegetarian option available.

  3. Just?  This is wonderful fare for a reception  it is usually some sort of sauce drowned chicken.  Vegetarian meals are not always an option and it is up to you to take care of your special dietary needs or choices not the bride and groom.  Give'em lobster and shrimp and they still complain.  Some folk just cannot be pleased.

  4. Hi. My sister had a lunch reception (very nice, though), and they served filet mignon and salmon together!  It was soooooo good.  Loved it.

  5. I LOVE SURF AND TURF!!!  Sounds good.

  6. mmmm....two of my favorites.

I think that if you (in general) are a vegetarian, that should not be up to the bride and groom to worry about.

  7. Yes, its called Surf & Turf and it is delicious.  The best.
