how is the cancun attractions??the surroundings of cancun for a family?? Like Shows,amusment park ect. Thanks

it is great for a family trip.  pretty expensive though.  kids would love it, it is in the middle of jungle where they can see monkeys outside of the zoo.

Cancun is wonderful for many reasons.  First of all, the Carribbean sea. In fact, the waters surrounding Cancun rest atop the Great Mesoamerican Reef - the largest coral reef system in the Western Hemisphere.   Snorkeling is easy to do, costs little and is absolutely wonderful to see.  Many attractions base around water, snorkeling, feed the dolphins, swimming, fishing, etc..  

Families can dive and snorkel in the Laguna Nichupte, a calm body of water connecting the mainland and the Hotel Zone.   As the Caribbean Sea is generally calm off the coast of Cancun, jet skiing and kayaking have also become popular activities.

Also.. the Mayan ruins are close by if you like history.

If you stay at a resort, most offer shows in the evenings.  Night life is very fun downtown Cancun, and the busses run there til the wee hours of the morning.. and all day.

You can visit Excaret,  a wonderful Eco friendly zoo and aquarium where you can snorkel caves , ATV jungle tours, Alltournative Eco Tours,  Cancún Museum,  National Institute of Anthropology and History,  Museum of the Maya Culture. The list goes on and on.

Cancun is fab! we went to a wildlife park down the road which for £90 a head you could swim with dolphins in their natural environment in a group no more than 6 ,then go snorkeling with maneties (seacows). After that we had the change to hug and do tricks with a seal ! well recommended!!!
