Has anyone been to carnival in the Caribbean?

I am a Trinidadian and in the US now. I have experienced our carnival for years. I have family living here in the US who go to Trinidad carnival every year and the crime has never been a problem.

The carnival is fun and party. Real expression of art. The music is outa this world; pan (steelband) calypso and soca.

I go to carnival in Grenada every summer. Trinidad has one but Trinidad is a big island with big crime to match. Go Grenada I say

wayz all those hu not here at dat time in T&T iz rel missing out. 2 days of pure fun!!!!! iz parting out in d streets in costumes, ppl passing playing music and especially our native instrument, the steel pan. if u never heard of it, boi i doh kno wat to say.
