  1. Been there twice on trips while staying elsewhere on Ibiza.

Absolutely gorgeous resort in the very North of the island, but not a great variety of eating places, and unfortunately it's just about the most expensive resort you could have picked.

The sun and scenery however were fantastic.

    Enjoy.

  2. Hi Errol- Yes, many times and I love it!

Lovely resort, a far cry from the party capital of San Antonio, and well worth going! Good on you for choosing it, you'll have a lovely time there.

Portinatx is a complete mini resort, ideal for families, and one of Ibiza's best known beauty spots with three good, sandy beaches to choose from.

The largest beach S'Arenal Gros is in the Bay across from the main Coach Park; little S'Arenal Petit, which is more private, is around the corner from the rocky promontory to the left. The third is Playa Porto Beach, surrounded by little pineclad hillocks, it is in a little cove at the end of the main road. All these beaches have shallow water and are excellent for bathing.

The resort itself caters for many tastes. There is a games centre with bowling and pool-tables. There are music bars, pubs, quiz evenings, plenty of shops and a surprisingly active night scene.

Because Portinatx is so popular with families, much of the accommodation is in self-catering apartments

If you're eating out try 'Es Puet'. This is family run restaurant, with a spacious terrace overlooking the beach and is perfect  while you're having a drink and enjoying some same-day fresh fish straight from the fishing boats.

Hostal Mallorqui is another restaurant and one of my favourites. Two local fishing boats supply the kitchen daily The lobsters, for paella or caldereta (a delicious combination of soup and stew), are fresh from their own aquarium. Their menu also has a range of pasta and rice, tasty hot and cold salads or succulent meat dishes.

Heres some info on your apts they look great!
