  1. I spent a fabulous week in Portoroz last summer, and permanently lost part of my heart to Slovenia! The Adriatic coastline is so clean and wonderful, it's very warm there and the people are friendly and speak very good English! And it's not too crowded neither... During that week I also visited Ljubljana, it is not too big a city so you will not get lost there easily if you carry a map with you there!! The local buses are wonderfully air-conditioned and cool, and it is very cheap to take a bus from place to another. And the local tourist agency Kompas arranges a lot of guided bus trips to places, for example I did a guided combined day trip to Ljubljana and Bled from Portoroz.

  2. It's very nice country! Beautiful nature - mountains, vineyards, lakes, carst caves, many monuments etc. All you can find on sites of official travel guide here: http://www.slovenia.info/
