I am going there on september the 7th with all my family.Me and my boyfriend are getting married out there.

I am really worried about the weather , When we booked the travel agent did not say about It being hurricane season but she did say that theres on average nine inches of rain a month and that didnt bother us because I have heared that they are quick showers and then the sun comes out again. We are staying at sandals halcyon and everyone has paid so much money over 1200 each just for a week ,I am more worried about the weather then the wedding! I hope i have some good replys to put me at ease. thanks lou

  1. Don't worry about the weather, according to this website wunderground.com , the last 12 years of past weather on St Lucia only shows some rain showers. It's the tropics, the rain will pass quickly. The dates I used were Sept 1-Sept 15.

But, I should mention weather is unpredictable and be aware. Find out what the policy at Sandals Halcyon is in the event of a hurricane. When we travel especially in the summer we always purchase travel insurance, not only for bad weather but illiness. It's not expensive, ask your travel agent about it. Most airlines will give you 2 weeks to reschedule your trip, no charge if they can't fly to your destination.

    Good Luck and congratulations) Enjoy

  2. I went to St. Lucia around that time last September. I loved it because there weren't a lot of tourists, so it wasn't very crowded. For the most part it was sunny and warm. We did have a day of rain related to a passing tropical storm. There was also another day where it rained for a few minutes then stopped. For being there a week and having only one full day of rain, I felt that was pretty good. September is part of hurricane season, but St. Lucia isn't a country that gets hit by hurricanes frequently.
