Has anyone been to the Barcelo Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana?

Question

My travel agent recommended the Barcelo Bavaro Beach in Dominican Republic. Has anyone been? What kind of feedback can you give me of the place?

Not bad for the price, but in Puerto Plata the choice for this price is bigger and the place is like "wonderland" so... speak with your "travel agent" if he is a professional he will tell you I'm right.

We stayed there several years ago. It's located on a beautiful 2 mile beach called Bavaro. Bavaro Beach is  part of a 5 hotel property. The property has a casino, tennis courts, gardens and golf course. You can dine at any of the other hotels. The Bavaro Beach is the best hotel on the property and has the best food.

It's been a while since I was there but we enjoyed our stay and have recommended the property to several of our friends who honeymooned there. They loved it.
