  1. Green and beautiful. Nice beaches, great scenery.

One of the most easily accessible islands in Greece, connected to the mainland by a short, hour and a half, ferry trip of almost every hour through the day.

Extended road circuitry that covers all the parts of the island.

  2. Corfu is a gorgeous island , the top of Corfu is very picturesk, mountains, and lovely beaches, You have Paleacastrica with its fabulous bays and monestry, and wonderful veiws at the Bella Vista Resturant in Paleo. Not for people who dont like heights. Along from that you have San Stefonas which has a tremendous sandy long beach with a few tavernas dotted on hillside, neighbouring Aghios Gordous, another beautiful beach.

Sidari up the Top has a lovely sandy beach and sand caves , it has become a lively resort and can be busy in high season, great place for the young and lively. Roda is beside it a smaller resort mostly for famleys. Down from their there is Kassiopi, Nissaki, beautiful harbour  at Kassiopi and its a lovely resort with a few shingle bays and resturants and bars, get boats out to find your own bay as they are plenty to choose from. Keep going down to Lively Ipsos a long narrow stretch of beach with water sports again lots of bars and young and lively, Gouvia and Dassia beside it same kind of resort but quieter than Ipsos. Then you have Corfu town , with its Fort, narrow cobbled streets full of shops and even a casiono. Horse drawn carriages can take you round but they can be expensive, lovely town.  That about covers the top of the island,

The South has Kavos wild lively resort, and unless your really up to party from 6 to 6 constantly give that one a miss. Messonghia and Morikta are nice resorts which are joined to gether by a causeyway, pretty and lively once fishing village of Benetsis  next worth a visit, Beaches down the bottom are St Johns thats the best one stretch of long golden sand, this half of the island is much flatter than the north,  Also from Corfu town there is a bus station which will take you to just about any part of the island, and boat trips from the harbour to take you to islands close by or even Mouse island which only had a monastry on it but pretty.

Needless to say i love Corfu , been several times, people are so friendly, food good, and weather wonderful i am sure you will have a great time .enjoy.

  3. Green and lush.  Best beaches are on the west coast, the ones on the east tend to be pebbly.  Plenty of bars, restaurants and tavernas.  Tourism has dropped lately about 60% this year I've heard but that makes it a great escape in my opinion.   It's a beautiful place to visit and safe.
