Has anyone been told not to waste money on glasses even tho they needed them?

I went to the eye doctor a few months ago because I was getting headaches while reading. I needed glasses when I was little. I thought that might have been the problem. When I got there and had the tests done he told me that yeah I needed glasses but because I was not in school there was no point in buying them. (Ended up with I just stoped reading and the headaches when away.)

Has this happened to anyone else before?

Since I started school now should I go back and talk with him again and ask if I should get glasses now because I started school?

If you need glasses, you need glasses. Go to other Optometrist get your eyes check again and get glasses if you need to.

Go get some glasses!! It's somthing that you need in order to live your life easier. I dont know whats wrong with the doctor you went to [how can you tell some one to just stop reading].

That's like you having no clothes on & you say you're cold. Then you go to the tailor and they tell you just stay in the house.
