Has anyone been working on a way to weaken or distroy a hurricane before it reaches land? ?

We spend tons of money sending robots to mars etc. It seems we could spend some here to help portect ourselfs.

  2. You would have to move a massive amount of cold water into the hurricane's path. This could be done by pumping colder water from below sea level to the surface. We don't have the technology yet to do move water on such a massive scale, but I agree the money spend on sending robots to mars could be better spent here on projects like this. Did you know that we know more about the serfice of mars then we do about our own ocean's.

  3. Hurricanes get their strength from warm waters,so unless you can cool the waters down there is nothing anyone can do.
