  1. I have no idea where Hart Ranch is but if there is a concern that they abuse their horses, then NO you should not buy a horse from there. Go to a reputiable breeder or rescue group.  In the meantime what you should do is try to find out of this rumor is true, and if so contact your local animal welfare group to look into it.

A very interesting photo tour of horses owned by the Hart Ranch on turnout (apparently) at Camp Pendleton

Is anyone aware that Hart Ranch does this...turns them out at Pendleton?

  3. I bought a Paint from Hart Ranch in Utah, are you talking about it or where is the ranch?

Edit: oh my, i think i would take the horse just to save it.  I'm going to go check this place out, I'm near Temecula and i believe Camp Penalton (Sp?) needs to be checked out to.

  4. He's a ***. Not too sure if Rosi has worked with him..... Because my sister worked for him, he is not a nice man! Buy the horse if you like, just have it vet checked first. Some are taken care of some.....

  5. Which Hart Ranch are you talking about?  There are probably several scattered around the US and the world.

There's a Hart Ranch in LA County owned by Slim Hart.  He used to have Bob Caron at Sunset River Trails start all his polo ponies for him.

Okay, that's Slim Hart, Corona, CA.  I've NEVER purchased a horse from him but he's an OLD time Cowboy/horsetrader with a pretty good reputation from all the old timers.  So idiot probaby just has a beef with him and is bad mouthing him.

I would double check the horse with a vet anyway (Try EVA or have Slim haul the horse to Chino Hills.) and make sure you try the horse out.
