Has anyone bought mochi online? Was it still fresh when it arrived.?

I'd like to buy Fugetsu-do mochi, mochigashi or wagashi online. I'd like to know how it was shipped (air or ground) and if the product was still good when it arrived. Please ONLY ANSWER if you have made a purchase from them or another company that sells their product. Please DO NOT refer me to some other companies products or sites.

check asian markets in your area. ask manager to order the particular brand you want. they may find a need and stock it on a regular basis. if you have friends who want the same thing send them to the same merchant. demand = supply

Why not buy a batch and find out for yourself? That's always the best way to find out whether you want to do business with anyone online. You can easily find out from the online seller how the product will be shipped -- if not, you might just not want to buy anything from the seller.

I just made myself a batch of mochi for the first time. Nothing fancy this first time, of course. It is fresh, and it only took 15 minutes plus cooling.

Why don't you just go to Trader Joe's? They have Mochie in Green Tea, Chocolate and Mango flavors...OH and strawberry. Real delicious!! It's not made by Trader Joe's, but it's made real tasty..
