Has anyone bought the Roll n' Grow flower pad thingies from TV?

Question

If you have, are they as easy as they say?? I mean, I know that you DO have to prepare the ground, till it and such... but I'm just curious... I think it looks kinda cool. I like the idea of using it as a border of your walk-way...

Also, are the perennials or annuals? (I'm completely dumb when it comes to gardening, which is why I'm considering getting this in the first place, lol...)

I got one from my son's fundraiser at school.  It sucked!

Only a few of the flowers grew, totally not worth it.

Just plant seeds! lol
