  1. Oh yes!

  2. Yes me and my husband bought some trainers, they were the latest ones out at the time and there was a guy selling them for less than the others, They were advertised as soft leather but when we got them (after him wearing them) we noticed that they were not leather at all. I emailed the seller who still had lots of pairs listed and the tight as* only gave us £5.00 back. We would never have bought them if we knew they were plastic.

I had already left feedback too so i guess that conman got away with it.

  3. Yea just lately,

i brought a microphone that was advertised as coming with a stand, when it finally arrived it was actually just the mic with a holder that attaches to a stand,

i did pay just a fiver for it but i felt conned out of principle, tried to leave mediocre feedback, but i wasn't allowed which made me feel even more let down.

Needless to say i'm still addicted.

  4. Yes absolutely!! Its a gamble but a lot of the items I have bought have been fantsastic so its getting to know the good sellers, and weedling out the bad to avoid in future!

  5. many a time. have since closed my ebay account.

  6. Yes. I bought a dress for my granddaughter. It said new with tags. when it arrived it did have tags on but also a huge rip in it that had been badly repaired. I emailed the seller and she refunded my money.  I also bought a CD, paid, but never received it. I haven't bought anything since.

  7. yes, but i have also bought something off ebay and got such a bargain that I felt bad for the person who sold it to me...there are good people and bad people out there.

  8. No, as I always check and re-check the description and small print.

If in doubt in any way, I do not buy!!!

  9. goto freeUsa.co.nr and see all best shopping sites (recomended)

  10. yes. just recently i purchased some face powder, which i thought was full sized. when i received it, it was a free gift!! felt totally conned

  11. I've had a couple of problems in terms of the actual item.

    1) I ordered a dvd and although it played in English, the packaging (the cover) was in Chinese.

    2) (And this has happened a few times) The packaging and the quality of the item was less than stellar. Often the seller won't mention certain flaws in their description and I'll receive the item with tacky brown tape covering it or a ton of scratches and tears.

That's why it's always good to ask questions before bidding.

  12. Yes, I bought an ink cartridge described as 'new'. It was unopened but 3 months out of date. Seller thought he had done nothing wrong and that I should have asked first whether it was in date.

You take a risk with ebay. Don't spend a lot of money on one transaction, check the seller has brilliant feedback, ask first if you have any doubts about the item or postage.

There are bargains out there and a lot of great sellers. Shame the minority spoil it for the rest.

  13. tq124he,

if you  are buying on ebay, ALWAYS

pay through PAYPAL and fund it with a CREDIT CARD.

then if anything goes wrong and PAYPAL can't get you a refund, you then have the option of filing for a CHARGEBACK through your CC provider.

    PAY SAFE, STAY SAFE!
