Not the scratchers. Well I won 3/5 and has $24 prize. I am under 18 but the lady that sells doesn't care about that. My question is do I need to fill the back of the lotto ticket and give proper ID and stuff? Also do you have to be 18 to play or 21? Thanks.

  1. Well if you have to fill your info out on the back, maybe the lady who sold it to you doesnt care but if she sends the ticket off somewhere then someones gonna get in trouble i would think!

Why cant you just get a guardian to do it and you keep the money!

  2. no, you don't have to sign your name for any prize under $500.00. the retailer will just give you your winnings. I don't know the guidelines on age in other states, but in CA it's 18 for the lottery

  3. I won 2k last year on a scratcher  they took out $80 in taxes had to drive to Springfield Mo.to cash it in at the lottery office. You should be ok because the ticket has to be for at least $500 before you have to turn it in yourself at the lottery office. And yes your supposed to be at least 18 to play.Congrats though.(do yourself a favor and keep it in your pocket)
