Has anyone considered that maybe Art Bell is exactly why us Remote Viewers were discontinued?

I know that people like Art Bell, and what he stands for, BUT...if someone is doing real research into this phenomena in 1987, and he said something harming or influential...could that be why Star Gate and others were fired!
