  1. My fiance and I did this cruise over last Thanksgiving.

It was my second time on the Miracle.  I always pick a cruise based on the itinerary...not the ship.  That said, this ship is a fairly nice one.  Every Carnival ship has a theme, and this one is "fictional characters".

The first two days at sea, we spent: getting sun, eating, checking out the on board shops, art auctions, and more eating.  I wasn't used to having two days at sea immediately, but they went by quickly.

If you don't have an excursion set up for Panama, you should really check out "Two Oceans by Railroad".  I NEVER book excursions though cruiselines, but I didn't want to miss doing something special in Panama.  This excursion was great because we got a short bus tour on the Atlantic side (including the locks) on our way to the train station...then the train tracks follow along the canal (I believe that this is the only way to see the whole canal, other than traveling it.)...and then when we got to the Pacific side, we had another bus tour that took us to the Pacific locks, the Bridge of the Americas, and around Panama City, before taking the train back.

In Belize, you can tender off of the ship and catch a snorkel excursion at the dock for 50-60$/person to Caye Caulker.  I have done this twice, and both times has been an amazing experience.

Also, I hope that you booked a room with at least a balcony.  We did spend a lot of our time on ours...including eating breakfast on it, while overlooking Panama.  If not, you might want to consider it for next time...

Hope this helps a little...and HAVE FUN!!

  2. All Carnival ships are nice. We've been on the Elation, the Conquest, and the Spirit. Every ship is unique in it's own way. All Carnival Ships have a water slide. We enjoy evening dinner the best. Personally, I enjoy the "Fun Days At Sea" the best. There are so many fun activities, you won't be able to take them all in. Go to carnival.com and look at pictures of the Miracle. Also, you'll enjoy the towel animals in your stateroom each night!!! Bon Voyage!! Oh, we're going on the Caribbean Princess in less than a month.

  3. On the Carnival CRuise  Line, every ship has loads of activities when the ship is at sea. They will offer more activities than you can possibly do. Have fun. Use sun screen.

  4. The Miracle is very over-the-top.  The dining room is the gaudiest I have ever seen and the, I think it's called, "Mad Hatter" room will drive you mad.

But you'll still have a good time, I'm sure.
