  1. Yes, I have cut back on getting groceries, going to my girlfriends house cause she lives out of town,  and we have cut back on activities too, I definitely cut back on going out of town and out of state vacations too.

Just a reminder you may want to do your Christmas shopping earlier, cause they are talking that gas will be $5 by Christmas.

  2. No, I just fill up the tank when its half empty. I am self-employed, so I just pass the increase on to you. Ha! Ha! Only eat when I'm hungry. The majority of America needs to cut back, for sure. The majority could stand to lose a few pounds. ( oops, I mean alot of pounds)

  3. I went to sam's club and got grocery's for the whole month

  4. Well, I've cut back on driving and eating out.

  5. Why would you not instead cut back on your driving?

  6. I've cut back on drinking and driving...haha just kidding.

  7. Any one who thinks boycotting the oil companies or driving less is crazy. The oil companies are making triple profits each quarter. Not buying gas for a day, or from particular gas companies MIGHT bring their profits down to... oh,say... double profits. Maybe.

The only thing that is going to get ANYONE'S attention is if we stop using gas.

    How?

GET CREATIVE! It's not like there aren't people out there who are engineers or just good with their hands... that couldnt come up with a solution if they put their minds to it. s***w "alternative gas". Make a new d**n engine! Find a creative way to hook up a battery. The alternatives aren't that far out of reach. The problem is people are just too d**n lazy. (And there's the fear that the oil companies will make them disappear.....) But if a product like that got out.... even anonymously.... it WOULD catch in a heartbeat... IF enough people heard about it. It would have to have practical application to the common man (who pays someone else to do a simple oil change). Something easy to impliment.

So PLEASE! Pass this thought along. If you know someone creative like this.... encourage them. America needs this.

Next time you get an email announcing a national "boycott" on a few oil companies.... try putting this idea out instead

  8. Oh yes!! We've even had to go to the local food bank a couple of times because it was a week before pay day, no food in the cupboards, but we still had to drive.

    Hard times...

  9. We have cut back on EVERYTHING! Especially groceries and going out to eat.  This is NOT going to get better.

  10. nope not cutting back sure were on weight watchers but im buying weight watcher products which are costly and im going on long big trip this summer will take plenty of gas im not going to stop living due to gas prices or food prices going up thats crazy.. i say keep it going <shrug> i have a job and so does hubbie why stop then ? nothings changed in my life

  11. Definitely, my family only buys food that has a coupon to go along with it, driving out to eat is almost non-existent now. Going out to eat is for special occasions or when my mother refuses to cook which really isnt that common. We've actually cut down on all driving trips such as clothes shopping to save gas money and money in general because if you're not there you save 100% (-.- a silly saying my dad uses)
