Has anyone dated someone that was in prison?

There is a guy that I'm interested in, but the catch is he was in prison for a good portion of his life. He seems normal enough, but I can already tell he is real unsure about relationships. He asked me several times whether or not I was single and what types of guys I typically date. Then I decided to drunk text and hooked up with him. Had a good time, but now he will not call or make any attempt. It'd be fine as long as I don't have to see him ever again, unfortunately I have to spend a good 3-4 hours straight with him tomorrow. He's really just not that into me right? Or does prison **** with your head to the point that you can't have a realationship?

people who have spent time in prison have very questionable characters-

I would NEVER date someone who was in prison

its hard enough to find a good guy in the general population much less finding one in the prison population-

well my boyfriend went into jdc about 4 months ago  and he gets out in three days i am sooooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!

he's really good with our relationship but he's is a little bit of a trouble maker.

New To Tats, Hopefully this is an honest answer to solve your uncertainty! I was in prison while a very nice and lovely Lady dated me.All of us are different in our own personal world,you may be that "very nice and lovely Lady" in his life.But,perhaps he has a conflict with coping with the fact someone cares,YES prison does **** with your head,help him understand  you care and be honest ,sincere kind of guide him.Give him a chance!!!

Gross!   He must have done something really bad to have been in prison most of his life.   He's probabley a con artist too.   Maybe he even got ******* in the a*ss in prison and got AIDS too.    There is a very high rate of AIDS in prison.   Can't you do better for yourself than that?   I would definitley look at his rap sheet first.   He could be a rapist, child molester, theif.   He could be dangerous.

My buddy was in prison for a while.

He didn't seem much different when he got out.

He just made a mistake which he paid for.

He is a nice guy and is now married and happy.

He no longer breaks the law and he never talks about prison.

Prison was just the icing on the f***ed up cake he had for a life.  Listen, he was in prison.  Something really bad probably led to that. He probably has not experienced any positive or successful relationships in his life.  That is not his fault, but it is a good indicator that he will not be able to maintain any type of lasting commitment.  And frankly, he is a criminal.  Recidivism rates are extremely high, there is a good chance he will participate in illegal activity again and you dont want that in your life.  You hooked up, chalk it up to just that and walk away with your life and heart intact.  PS--do you really know what he was in prison for?   All of that is public record--might want to check into it if you decide ( please dont ) to pursue this.
