  1. IF YOU"RE NOT A US CITIZEN from experience     you will need  a  certified  letter of invitation from a  Italian  citizen resident  or prospective  employer  prove that you have    a job , bank account with last 6 months of activity     get a medical insurance policy   for  30.000.00 euros   round trip tickets   based on a minimum of   35.00  euro per day  to live  there   you need to show that i cash ,traveler checks  to the   consulate  in USA  getting into Italy is pretty hard   very stringent  immigration and visitor visa >>>>>> US CITIZEN you can  visit  for up to 3 months    no problem     Italian police do ramdom checks   on just about any  foreigner, if you are over  the 90 days  you GOT big problems    and deep Do DOO  besides it  very expensive to live there
