i mean come on, look at the way they hit each other, you know somebody in sometime hit somebody the wrong way and the somebody they hit ended up dying. What if it happened while you were in the audience? What would you do if Tito Ortiz just hooked somebody in the temple and the person stumped to a halt and didnt get back up?

  1. Not in the UFC per say.  There was a fighter that just died the other day as a result of concussions that he got from a fight several months back in MMA and there was another fighter that died last year.  Besides these two the only other one was an individual that had gone to Russia three or four years ago and died a short time after losing the fight in which he received several hard blows to the head.  This is one of the reasons why the UFC refs and the MMA sanctioned refs that they are using now are fairly quick to step in and stop a fight which is good for the safety of the fighters.  Does it cause a bad decision sometimes-maybe but better to have a premature stoppage once in a while than fighters dieing or ending up with neuro devastates that they may have to live with the rest of their lives.  Being around fighters and knowing many I know a few that have serious problems thinking, talking, concentrating, and doing things.  Most of these individuals are older but not all and I know a young man that has to take seizure medication as a result of fighting now and will probably have to the rest of his life and can no longer fight.  So injuries can and do happen and sometimes some of the worst kind are not always evident or apparent right away.

  2. NO the UFc has never had death ther ehave only been 3 in the 15 years of organized MMA one was an american who went to fight in the ukraine back when it was bare knuckle a few point though one he could not get cleared to fight in the USA anythere he had history of blacking out when trinaing or gettong over heated not a good combo if you wanna fight 2nd he had history of lying about his skill level and striking ability making it soun das if he wer ea very accomplished striker which he was not ukraine atleats in those days had no regulation on MMA at all as far as health checks or who the ref was weight classes anything

The other sam vazquez died november last year after a figth he did hit his head on the post of the cage which is being looked at as not having enough padding 2 he did have history of blood clot in his brain before he fought

several studied have been done on UFC and other MMA promotions all over the world it is safer then boxing by far MMA tends to have more minor injuries then other combat sport boxing kick boxing muay thai but they have far less major injuries the gloves belive it or not make it safer then boxing having smaller gloves makes "flash" or one punch knockouts alot more common like the 10 to 12 ounce boxing gloves cut down on that they actually aloow a fighter to take far more shots to the head in fight before he is knocked out as where the 4 ounce glove sin MMA you cant take as many shots which is where the decrease in the risk of brain injuries occurs also MMA can be stopped at the refs decresion when a fighter cant take anymore or is not defeding himself in an intelligent manner or is stuck on the bottom of ground and pound even if the blows are not being very effective if he is on the bottom for long periods of time with out improving the ref will stop the fight where boxing has standing 8 count which allow a fighter with flash knockout to get to his feet and collect his thought and take few hundred more blows to the head MMA aguy gets hit and appears to be out as he hit the canvas the ref stops which is why you see guys get knoced down and then get up as the fight is stopped his a quick knockout that they often awake form as they hit the mat

  3. people die in UFC fights all the time, especially the refs

  4. nobody has ever died from injuries caused during a fight in the UFC.

however, i'm pretty sure that Sam Vasquez, who fought for a smaller promotion, is the only person in the US to die from injuries resulting from a FULLY SANCTIONED MMA fight.

  5. i don't know if it's ever happened.. but you need to remember that these athletes train for these beatings.. they just don't come off the street and start whaling on each other. it takes  a lot of mental, physical and emotional strength.. and not to mention the adrenaline.

that's also why they have refs.. to stop of fight before someone is seriously injured. they're are also trained to hit in certain spots too.. they just don't go out hitting where ever they want.

  6. Yes two.  In addition people have suffered concussion in MMA compared to Boxing 400-1.  The reason why is because MMA allows striking while on the ground and they also allow you to be struck after you have had your bell rung.  In boxing you can  be given a standing eight count after getting your bell rung and fighters can't be hit if at least one knee hits the ground.

Most importantly is the gloves.  Boxing have gloves that are well padded and are between 10 and 16 ounces.

MMA gloves are much smaller and doesn't protect the person getting hit, rather it is meant to protect the puncher.

  7. Not at a UFC event, but in a smaller event in Texas and in Russia there were deaths.  I think the UFC is good enough on the safety end that it might not happen for quite a while, if ever, but it would be traumatic for most in the crowd.  I hope for the sake of the fighters and the sport that it never happens, because if it does not only will a human being have lost his life, but it would effect others that have witnessed it happen.  I love the UFC and I think it is very under control and the fighters are in a lot safer conditions than you would imagine.

  8. no you stupid idiot. the fighters do have managers to stop the fights.

  9. UFC is scripted like WWE!! The only difference is it is too obvious in WWE, but UFC hides it pretty well!! Noone dying in the UFC anytime soon brother!!
