Has anyone drove from the south of France to Italy. I'll be in Nice for a few days....?

Hi from Nice !

The best scenic drive is from Menton to Nice, then it's nice especially in the Var area because of the green hills. It's really worth doing it, the A8 highway is probably one of the most beautiful highways in France. Unfortunately it's expensive (about 15€ from Menton to Aix).

It's a nice dive...  the A8 as I recall - Make sure you stop in Monaco on the way...  It takes about 2 1/2 hours...

Yes. I was there last summer with a tour group. However, I went from Italy to France, and then Spain. Nice is gorgeous. It took about two days of lots of driving from Italy through France, but it was gorgeous. Stop by the perfume shops, have a crepe, and check out the beautiful beaches.
